St Peter’s Youth Club - Club Bus

The client, St Peter’s Youth Club, wanted a bus that could be used by the members of the club and the volunteers who run it, as a place to relax, work, find out information and get advice about issues affecting young people, and attend events around Jersey. We undertook to fit out the bus with all that they required at a discounted rate to reflect our commitment to community projects.

Plans for how the Youth Club wanted the bus to be fitted out.

Empty bus at the beginning of the project.

    Constructing seating booths.

    Another view of the seating.

The seating booths now with tables added.

Starting work on the computer area.

    Cupboards.

More cupboards and walls being constructed.

    Further progress on the cupboards.

Further finishing work on the computer area and seating.

Construction of the ‘chill-out’ area at the back of the bus.

    The ‘chill-out’ area in progress.

    Working on the windows.

    The bus after being resprayed.

A bespoke piece of furniture was required to cover up the bus controls when not being driven (for safety), but also to fold up to form a partition when the bus was being driven. We contructed and fitted this piece.

Another view of the bespoke controls cover.

    Kicthen worktops with cupboards underneath.

Carpeting and addition of LED spot-lights to chill-out area.

    Computer desk and storage area.

    Another view of the above.

Bespoke table for the chill-out area - the St Peter’s Youth Club logo was carved into the wood and the table was later sprayed blue.

The back of the completed bus…note the first company credited!

The finished article enjoyed by all and the company enjoyed this job and working close with the community.
